Milton Bennett Wynne, 89, of Simmons Ave., Williamston, North Carolina, died Saturday, March 28, 2015. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral service at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Williamston, North Carolina at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 with the Reverend Karen Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Milton was born May 17, 1925 in Bear Grass, North Carolina, to Thurston Wynne, Sr. and Minnie Louise Wynne.

Milton was born May 17, 1925 in Bear Grass, North Carolina, to Thurston Wynne, Sr. and Minnie Louise Wynne.
Milton attended Bear Grass High School and was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. Milton returned to Bear Grass after his service and worked on the family farm.
Milton married Elizabeth Parker on June 14, 1954. He was a member of First Christian Church, in Williamston, where he served as a deacon. Milton was a co-owner of The Rug Shop, also in Williamston.
Milton loved farming and gardening. Nothing gave him greater joy than sharing his produce and peanuts with friends and family.
Milton is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Parker Wynne; his son, Milton Bennett Wynne, Jr., and wife, Beth Heath, of Kinston, North Carolina; his daughter, Jane Woolard Wynne, and husband, John Shao, of Kinston, North Carolina; granddaughter, Jeannie Elizabeth Wynne, of Washington; grandson, Parker Lee Wynne, of Florida; grandson, Andy Bennett Wynne, of Williamston, North Carolina; granddaughter, Elizabeth Allan Wynne, of Kinston, North Carolina; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family at Biggs Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2015, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Christian Church, Williamston, North Carolina.
